Built in the early 1850's for a large pioneering family, Arawa Homestead is steeped in history. It is still the hub of a 24-hectare (60 acre) farm. Wander across the lawns. Enjoy a quiet lunch in the dell beside the reflecting pond, in the fragrant shade of the wisteria-draped patio or in the cool comfort of the gazebo. Relax in the library beside a log fire. Greet the animals on a farm stroll or take a leisurely bush walk and unpack a picnic hamper in the bush reserve where native birds abound.
