Twenty minutes away is Blenheim, the town which usually records New Zealands highest sunshine hours. It is at the heart of the Marlborough wine-growing district and boasts several award-winning boutique wineries. Take time to check out the famous wine trail and sample our world-class white wines and enjoy the many arts and crafts that abound in the area. Nothing can beat experiencing the Marlborough Sounds where the water is deep and crystal clear . Activities include yachting and cruising, fishing and diving, and checking out the dolphins and seals. If walking is `your thing´, the Queen Charlotte Walkway and ?Walking the Sounds' is an experience in itself. Our lodge is privately owned and fully equipped and we have an in-depth knowledge of the area to help you make the best choices. If your stay is a week or longer we will take you out at no cost on the fabulous Queen Charlotte Sound in our new ?Bayliner'. We can't promise you will catch fish, but the chances are pretty good that the BBQ will be busy when you get back. And it doesn't get fresher (or nicer) than that ! |
