Paratiho is set in 2.6 hectares (6.5 acres) of developing gardens including 7,000 trees, a small vineyard, olive grove and pond, with native trees attracting birdlife. John is a retired fishing guide, willing to assist fishing enthusiasts.

Pukawa Bay is nestled on the southern shores of Lake Taupo (N.Z's largest lake) surrounded by native bush clad hills, mountains and many rivers that flow into the southern end of the lake. It is an ideal base from which to experience the multitude of outdoor activities that abound in this natural holiday 'paradise'.

The shore location focuses on interests in watersports- kyaking, rafting, wetland ecotours, boating, swimming picnicing, bush clad track walking and bird watching in the surrounding native bush. From the cool clear waters of Lake Taupo and it's tributaries, to the powerful flow of the mighty Tongariro River, our world famous wild fishery has boundless trout fishing opportunities. Tokaanu five minutes by car offers hot thermal pools alongside an historical Thermal Park. Tongariro National Park - a World Heritage Park, with countless opportunities all year round.

The guest accommodation has a separate entrance and a large private patio in front.

The large bedroom has a king-size double and single beds, table and chairs, Sky T.V., refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilites. The ensuite is a paraplegic with shower, vanity, wardrobe and separate toilet.
